Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 29 : To spread ancient Indian culture clubbed with sprituality, Santhigiri Ashram will extend its multifaceted activities including health care to Brazil. As part of propagating the spiritual activities of the Ashram, including health care, it has decided to open a Health Care Centre at Sao Paulo and discussions were going on relating to the programmes of Santhigiri Ashram at Brazil, an Ashram release said here yesterday.The Health Care Centre will be based at Canto de Floresta (Music of Forest) Eco Resort spread over 110 acres in the forest, situated 200 km from Sao Paulo, the largest city of the country.The resort is structured in a way which reminds of Indian heritage and tradition.Canto de Floresta Resort Managing Director, Maria Fernanda Mesquita and Santhigiri Ashram Organising secretary Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi together signed the MoU for the Health Care Centre on September 27.The programme aims at propagating and spreading the Indian systems of medicine – Ayurveda and Siddha – in its most elegant way giving importance to the spiritual aspect, Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi said.
