Police Seeking Two Men After Alleged Armed Encounter

Milford Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two men, one of whom allegedly brandished a gun during a physical altercation with a third man at a Connecticut Post Mall parking lot earlier today.According to police, at 4:21 p.m. this afternoon, the department received several 911 calls regarding a physical encounter between two males and another male victim in the north side parking lot of the mall, adjacent to Target.A preliminary investigation revealed that a 32-year-old male victim was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by two Hispanic males, police said.One of the males allegedly displayed a handgun, police said, at which time a physical struggle took place between the three males, resulting in the victim disarming the suspect.The two suspects then fled the area on foot heading towards the rear of the property.Several officers and a Milford Police K-9 team searched the area for the suspects, with the assistance of Westfield Mall Security and other stores through their video surveillance systems, police said.A police presence remained at the mall through closing time.According to police, the suspects are described as two Hispanic males, age range in late 20’s to early 30’s.The first suspect, who reportedly displayed the weapon, is approximately 5’7” to 5’9” tall, with facial hair, wearing a gray jersey-style shirt with blue stripes on the sleeves and the number “23” on the back of the jersey, blue denim shorts and black sneakers.The second suspect is 5’10” with a large build, wearing a blue baseball hat backwards, light colored t-shirt, denim jeans and black sneakers.Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Milford Police Detective Division at (203)-783-4759; or visit the department’s website at and click on “Crime Tips.”
