Cameron Diaz recently told InStyle magazine that her new short haircut is “freeing” — but she told Tonight Show host Jay Leno a different story this week. “There was a little misunderstanding,” sheexplained. “I said, ‘Oh, I just want a little bit off,’ . . . and it went from here to here,” shesaid, indicating two very different hair lengths. When the What To Expect When You’re Expecting actress saw the new do, even though it was no shorterthan what she wore in the 1998 film There’s Something About Mary, “I just burst into tears and started crying, and I felt sovulnerable,” she said. The stylist is a good friend of Diaz’s. “I felt really bad; she felt reallybad,” Diaz said. “She started crying; I started crying; a couple of other people started crying. Iended up writing her a few emails after the next couple days, assuring her I wasn’t going to killher.” Diaz, unlike most Hollywood types, usually gets haircuts in the friend’s kitchen instead ofan expensive salon.After abruptly yanking model Kate Upton’s “Cat Daddy” dance clip on Wednesday for supposedly violating itsnudity policy, YouTube later reposted the jiggly video, which has continued its viral ways. The video drew almost 750,000 views in less than 24hours before being pulled; less than two hours after it was reinstated, it had racked up 200,000more hits. The hip-hop group Rej3ctz’s song Cat Daddy, to which Upton gyrated, is also benefiting.
