Paul McCartney and Nancy ShevellImage Credit: WireImageAccording to British news sites on Saturday, the couple will tie the knot at Westminster Register Office tomorrow, Sunday, which coincides with John Lennon’s 71st birthday, McCartney’s former bandmate during the Beatles era.As earlier reported, the couple met with Westminster Register Office Superintendent Alison Cathcart last month and posted their wedding notice but the wedding date was not revealed.“The wedding is in keeping with the way Paul and Nancy have conducted their entire relationship – low-key, understated and fueled by goodwill.” A source was quoted at Mirror UK.“Neither of them wanted a huge fuss made and the main priority, for both, was family. It will be a really special, intimate ceremony followed by a fun do under a marquee in the garden.” The source added.The McCartney-Shevell wedding was said to be in a typically understated fashion, with Mike, Paul‘s younger brother, who will be overseeing the wedding proceedings, will post as the best man.Meanwhile, Beatrice, the 7-year old daughter of Paul McCartney with his second wife, Heather Mills, will be the only bridesmaid and flower girl. McCartney and Mills got married in 2002 but divorced in 2008.
