Oregon Ducks Football: The Ducks Offense Will Lead Them to an Opening Victory

Ronald Martinez/Getty Images Last year the Oregon Ducks offense scored 70-points in a game twice, 60-points three times and 50-points four times. This Oregon Ducks offense would score whenever they wanted to on whom ever they wanted to during the regular season. It was a high powered offense that liked to run options, spread their wide receivers out on the field, and relay their plays with huge poster boards with four pictures on it. Their offense was one of the best things about college football last year and this year they look to continue their scoring ways.  Last year when they played the Tennessee Vols of the South Eastern Conference, they were held under 20-points for the first half. Then some half time adjustments were made by coach Kelly and the offense and they ended up scoring 48-points on the Vols winning 48-13.  The offense this year returned both their starting quarterback and running back, both of which were instrumental in the success of the Ducks offensive game plans last year.  This year James comes into the season as a Heisman favorite and expected to go above and beyond his stats of last year.  Can the Ducks not only make it back to the National Championship game, but also score more points than last year?  It’s scary to think that it not only is possible, but it’s certain that they will.  Twitter: @tjmcaloon Bleacher Report will be here all season long for all of your college football needs.
