Buffalo Bills-“Nobody. Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.” I never saw the Bills performance last week against New England Patriots coming and when Drayton Florence picked off Tom Brady and took it to the house I knew that the game was over then and there. The Buffalo Bills beat the New England Patriots is a statement that I never thought would even cross my mind until the playing days of Tom Brady were over but I have said it and the Bills finally beat the Patriots. The Bills offense didn’t play stellar but they played a solid game all around led by their quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who threw for 369 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Fitzpatrick’s performance was a solid fantasy outing for him as Fitzpatrick threw for over 350 yards and 2 touchdowns but it’s not nice to see that Fitzpatrick threw two interceptions. Going into this week’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals Fitzpatrick is going up a secondary that held the 49er’s Alex Smith to 201 yards passing and zero touchdowns on Sunday (Smith also was sacked 5 times. Fitzpatrick’s confidence is sky high right now and starting him this week is a good idea because Fitzpatrick is going to run the Bills offense by controlling the passing game whether he’s throwing it to Stevie Johnson, David Nelson or Fred Jackson, Fitzpatrick is going to play productive. This week I see Fitzpatrick throwing for 340 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception against a tough Bengals defense. Fitzpatrick is turning into an every week fantasy starter at the quarterback spot and Fitzpatrick should be in your lineup this week and in weeks to come. Fred Jackson is the best kept secret in the NFL. First off Jackson plays for the Buffalo Bills who don’t get a lot of media attention so nobody really knows about Jackson because right now he’s being over shadowed by Fitzpatrick and Stevie Johnson. Second off, Jackson was playing on the Bills practice squad 4 years ago. People around America who follow football will tell you that they know C.J. Spiller plays for the Buffalo Bills but if you told them that Fred Jackson was the starting running back in Buffalo they wouldn’t believe you. Jackson was a key player in the Bills win over the Patriots last week as Jackson rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown and Jackson also caught 5 passes for 87 yards out of the backfield. Those are some real nice fantasy numbers right there. If you’re a Jackson owner right now you’re looking like a genius and Jackson’s production is going to continue this week and throughout the regular season. In this week’s matchup Jackson is going up against a Bengals defense that held Frank Gore to only 42 rushing yards last week but don’t expect the same numbers from Jackson this week. With the Bills passing game playing at the level that it is right now it’s going to open up the running game for Jackson. I expect Jackson to rush for 80 yards and 1 touchdown this week and Jackson is going to catch 5 balls for 60 yards out of the backfield. Jackson is a fantasy starter this week and I see Jackson’s production to continue to progress as the season moves on. Stevie Johnson is turning himself into one of the top wide receivers in the NFL by being a reliable player that Ryan Fitzpatrick knows he can throw to. Johnson caught 8 balls for 94 yards and 1 touchdown last week against the Patriots and that’s a stat line that I would love to see in my starting lineup. Johnson continues to prove me wrong as I under estimate Johnson’s stats when predicting how he will play. So going into this week’s matchup against the Bengals Johnson is going to prove me wrong again and go above and beyond my prediction. I’m predicting that Johnson is going to catch 6 balls for 80 yards and 1 touchdown this week. I would go ahead and plug Johnson into your lineup if he isn’t already. Johnson has a lot of upside and just like his quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick Johnson’s fantasy stock is on the rise. Scott Chandler managed to snag a touchdown for the second week in a row and Chandler is getting a lot of looks in the red-zone from Fitzpatrick. Chandler isn’t going to put up huge fantasy numbers or catch 9 passes for 110 yards at any point this season but Chandler is going to continue to get his 2 to 3 catches per game and occasionally find the end-zone. It’s not a bad idea to go out and pick up Chandler as he is available in most leagues. If you’re weak at the tight end spot Chandler could be a guy that puts up just enough fantasy points each week to get you a win. So in this week’s matchup I see Chandler catching 4 passes for 30 yards and he’ll find the end-zone again this week. Another player to keep an eye on from the Bills is Donald Jones. If David Nelson starts to get more attention from defenses Jones’s play is going to get better. Keep Jones on your watch list as Jones may be a solid pickup in weeks to come. Cincinnati Bengals-The Bengals put up a whopping 8 points against the San Francisco 49ers and the Bengals offense did not play well at all. This is a red flag for any of you out there who have Bengals players on your fantasy team. Andy Dalton had a less than stellar performance as Dalton threw for 157 yards and 2 interceptions but Dalton is a rookie and I believe Dalton should not be in consideration for your starting quarterback position unless you have nobody else to start at quarterback. Dalton is going through his rookie struggles and it’s going to continue so I would keep him on your bench this week and for the weeks to come. The Bills defense were able to pick off Tom Brady 4 times last week and if Dalton throws the ball for 30 plus times in this game you can bet that Dalton is going to throw at least 3 interceptions. I’m not expecting much this week from Dalton as I see him throwing for 185 yards 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. Like I said before, keep Dalton on your bench or even consider dropping him and picking up another player that could help your team out. A.J. Green had an awesome game in week 2 but in week 3 Green didn’t play as well as he only caught 4 balls for 29 yards. Dalton seems to like to throw towards Green and defenses are going to start to pick up on this and Green’s production is going to drop. I don’t see Green having any big time fantasy games in the coming weeks so if you have Green keep him on your bench. The receiving corp. of the Bengals production is going to hinge on how well Andy Dalton and I don’t see Dalton playing well this week or in weeks to come as once again I’ll say it, Dalton is a rookie and he’s going to struggle. With that being said when a rookie quarterback is struggling he is always going to love to throw to his tight end. That’s why this week is a great week to start Jermaine Gresham. Gresham is going to get a lot of looks from Dalton this week against the Bills. The Bills allowed Rob Gronkowski to catch 7 balls for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns last week but I’m not saying that Gresham is going to put up those types of numbers this week. I’m expecting Gresham to catch 6 balls for 80 yards and he’ll be on the other end of Andy Dalton’s one touchdown pass. Consider starting Gresham this week if you don’t have a top ten fantasy tight end on your team. Cedric Benson is the best fantasy player on the Bengals right now and Benson was held to 64 yards rushing and he couldn’t find the end-zone last week. Benson is going to get 20 plus carries this week and Benson is going to go over 100 yards rushing and he’ll find the end-zone because Andy Dalton is not going to play well and the Bengals only option is to give the ball to Benson. Starting Benson this week is a good idea as Benson is truly the only quality fantasy player on the Bengals right now. So leave Benson on your bench this week and leave A.J. Green on your bench too. Jermaine Gresham is a quality start this week and Cedric Benson is also a fantasy starter this week. See our game analysis and free pick ATS for this game. Follow me on twitter: @meanyyyy
