Former Mississippi State star Dontae’ Jones, a first-round pick of the New York Knicks in 1996, is a rapper who goes by the alias Mr. 615 – a reference to his hometown of Nashville, TN.Jones, 36, was injured for his rookie season with the Knicks in 1996-97 and then was picked up by the Celtics, for whom he played 15 games in the 1997-98 season. Jones then played in the CBA, ABA, Venezuela, Italy, Greece, Puerto Rico, South Korea, China and Mexico until 2010.Despite his long professional career, Jones was considered an NBA bust after entering the league with so much promise. He helped lead the Bulldogs to the 1996 Final Four along with teammate Erick Dampier.
