John Cook Victorious at Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am

Nike Golf Athlete John Cook Wins second Title on the Champions Tour in 2011 for his Seventh Career Victory

-Cook Ranked #1 in Greens in Regulation with Nike VR Pro Blades-

One week after Nike Golf athlete Charl Schwartzel won the coveted green jacket at The Masters tournament, Nike Golf athlete John Cook adds another win for the Swoosh at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am on the Champions Tour.  It marks Cook’s second win of the season and seventh in his career on the Champions Tour.  His victory also brings to seven the number of wins by Nike athletes around the globe in 2011.

Cook, now ranked second on the 2011 Champions Tour money list, won on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff.  On the playoff hole, Cook hit a 6-iron to within six feet and made it for birdie to seal his victory.  Using his Nike VR Pro Blades, Cook was ranked number one in the field in Greens in Regulation (GIR), averaging 81.5%. His stellar iron play boosted him to a ranking of 10th in GIR so far in 2011. also impressive is his driving accuracy, as he is ranked third in this category for the year with his Nike VR Driver.  Rounding out his Nike arsenal were his Nike Hybrid and Nike Method prototype putter.
