House Speaker John Boehner delivers a scathing assessment of President Barack Obama in an interview tonight on the “CBS Evening News.”Anchor Scott Pelley asks, “The President might say, ‘I’m trying to work with you. But Mr. Speaker, you don’t have control of your entire party, that there are factions of your party who aren’t going along.’ ”Boehner says, “Every time the president and I have been able to come to agreement, we have not had any problems passing it here in the House of Representatives. Scott, I think it’s important to note that the president checked out last Labor Day. He spent the last four months doing nothing but campaigning. He hasn’t been engaged in the process. If the president wants us to be engaged in the process, it takes two to tango.”The interview comes before Obama delivers the State of the Union address at 9 tonight.The “CBS Evening News” airs at 6:30 on WKMG-Channel 6.
