VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Nathan Horton apparently has added a little water from home to the Rogers Arena ice before the Boston Bruins play for the Stanley Cup.
About 90 minutes before Game 7 warm-ups Wednesday, the injured forward dumped a squeeze bottle apparently filled with water from Boston onto the ice in front of the Bruins’ bench.

Nobody could immediately confirm the water’s provenance, but Horton’s dousing evoked memories of the 2002 Winter Olympics. An ice technician buried a Canadian $1 coin at the center faceoff circle before Canada’s gold-medal victory over the United States.
Horton has been out since Game 3 after sustaining a concussion on a hit from Vancouver defenseman Aaron Rome, who was suspended for the rest of the series.
“We’re all excited, we won the Stanley Cup,” Horton said after the game with a big smile on his face. ” It’s the biggest thing in the world.”
