(Marcio Jose Sanchez / AP) Elin Nordegren has torn down her rebound house, the one she bought for $12.3 million not long after the breakup of her marriage to Tiger Woods. The oceanfront mansion, built in 1932 near North Palm Beach, Fla., “was a beautiful place, incredible landscaping, fantastic ocean frontage,” realtor John True told the Palm Beach Post. (See “before” and “after” photos here.) “I heard that the original plan was to renovate. But once they started, I heard they decided to tear it down.”Nordegren, 32, bought the house in March, seven months after her divorce from Woods and intends to build a new home on the property. The teardown and buildup isn’t something she can’t afford. After all, she reportedly received $100 million in her August 2010 settlement. The Post reports that Nordegren, who has joint custory of two children with Woods, is living nearby during construction. Woods kept the house they shared in Orlando before their marriage publicly disintegrated at Thanksgiving 2009 and is building a home on Jupiter Island. The house is in Seminole Landing, a gated development that offers, of course, golf. The 82-year-old Seminole Golf Course was rated the best in Florida by Golf Digest last year, 13th-best in America.
