Class Act couldn’t have played any better last night against Nordyne in Babe Ruth 14U softball at Rolling Hills park. After the loss against Fuemmeler Furniture Refinishings, Class Act has been perfect since then including last night’s 21-1 win over Nordyne. Of course FFR wasn’t too bad either last night in the second game by turing back A-Bow-K by a score of 14-4. Class Act, 6-1 on the season, jumped out to stay against Nordyne and led 6-0 after one, 8-0 after two and 15-0 after 2 1/2. Meanwhile, in the bottom-half of the third, Nordyne scored its only run of the ballgame to avoid the shutout. Class Act didn’t stop at 15 runs, though. In the top-half of the fourth, Class Act exploded for six more runs to win by the mercy rule. Makayla Zey picked up the win on the mound for Class Act while Miranda Northern took the loss for Nordyne, who dropped to 2-4 on the season. Zey pitched all four innings and struck out four batters while giving up one run on four hits and two walks. Northern, meanwhile, pitched four innings and allowed 21 runs on 11 hits and 11 walks while striking out four. Class Act also out-hit Nordyne 11-4, with Mackenzie Strother leading the way with two singles, one triple and two RBIs. Darian Wolfe had a single, double and three RBIs while Makayla Zey added a single, double and one RBI, Melanie Perez with two singles and three RBIs, Rachel Distler with a home run and four RBIs, Mickayla Strother with a double and one RBI and Alli Muri with one single. For Nordyne, Miranda Northern had a triple and one RBI while Courtney Timm added a double and Andrea Jackson and Kyla Johnson each with one single.
